I have to say, I think I can agree with almost ALL those quotes. Amazing how prophetic that final quote is/was.
I went to see the Warhol exhibit when it was at the AGO a few years ago. It only covered a small period of time but, man, was it bizarre. The audio guide was narrated by David Cronenberg, which was in itself surreal.
I'm not sure if some of my favourite Warhol stuff is appropriate to post on this blog. The series we saw at the AGO was based on death and accidents and not for everyone's tastes. However, here is a piece of Warhol's that anyone can view and of course, enjoy.

I like the iconography of the character and the odd pose we don't necessarily associate with the man. I'm also a fan of the Velvet Underground banana painting.
